With a vehicle-accessible base camp at 3700m, the summit can be reached in just a few days, with our itinerary designed to include ample acclimatization and support throughout.

We have planned it out to visit in Autumn. Autumn offers a more stable and scenic window for climbing Aotaina. Clear skies, dry trails, and vibrant foliage create breathtaking backdrops throughout the trek. As the season shifts toward winter, the mountain takes on a dramatic beauty with golden forests below and snow-dusted peaks above.
Unlike winter and spring, when deep snow can make the route significantly more challenging, autumn conditions are milder and more manageable, especially for first-timers. For those seeking both adventure and natural wonder without the extreme cold, autumn is the perfect season to summit Aotaina.
